Shane Camp 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Best selection of meads. The friendliest staff, and the resident Kinfolk make for an experience that you'll not forget and come back for more.

Brian W 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★First time trying Mead. Ashleigh E. made the experience enjoyable and informative. Tried 7 different meads and ciders. I really like the ties made to local ingreadients and viking ways. The artwork on the bottles is also amazing. There are new things to come, keep informed. Look foward to next August 1, 2027 for Mead day and the events offered.

Julina G 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Super fun experience! My friend and I sampled all 29 meads (and got a complimentary glass) for only $25/person. The meads were incredibly complex and tasty. Some were dry, some were sweet, and at least two were even spicy! We had so much fun chatting with Scott the bartender and the other customers. A chill and relaxing Friday night. Next time, we'll try the fire outside!

Austin Butler 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Man I wish I wasn't from out of state. I'd be a regular for sure! Tracy was slinging the drinks and I felt right at home. Definitely a must go to if you enjoy great mead, Viking Theme(s), and a fantastic staff.

Shubhi Gautam 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★I’m obsessed with the vibes here! From sipping mead out of horn cups to exploring the faering (a Viking boat) outside, Helderberg Meadworks feels like a magical escape. I especially love the Esperance location for its gorgeous views and the option to sit outside by a bonfire. The stunning views are matched by the fun, Nordic-inspired interiors. The decor, seating, and bar all add to the atmosphere, and even the bartenders fit right in! Service is great—they're so sweet and knowledgeable about the meads as well. As for the mead, it’s absolutely delicious. I recommend trying a flight to sample the different flavors before picking your favorite for a full glass. I loved them all, but my top pick has to be Loki’s Lure—a rich blend of coffee and cacao. Other favorites are the Heritage and Black Currant. The one thing I do wish the meadery offered is snacks. It would be nice to have something to munch on while enjoying the drinks. Beware of the mead though—it’s so tasty and goes down so easily, you might find yourself tipsy before you know it! 😂🍻
