The veil grows thin, and we turn inward, calling to mind our ancestors - of birth, of place and of spirit. Join us to mark the beginning of the Time Between Time, the precursor to our modern-day Halloween celebrations.
We will begin with a ritual marking the season then share a potluck dinner. We will spend the rest of the evening sharing snacks around a campfire while collaborating on a shrine to our Ancestors.
Please bring a dish to share
Main dishes are especially appreciated, since we often end up with plenty of sides and snacks. There will be a sign-up poll in the Facebook event a few weeks before the date so you can see what others are bringing.
Ritual Attire
Ritual attire is always welcome but never required. Cloaks, robes, seasonal colors, and other special attire can be a fun way to step out of the everyday and into the spirit of the festival. Come as you are, or dress in a way that helps you feel connected to the season and the ritual.
Contribute to our Ancestor Shrine
You are welcome to bring photos, mementos or other items that honor your ancestors. You can place them on our shared Ancestor Shrine for the evening or just keep them on your person.
