Always a great stay at the American Hotel, chef Lee Woolver is outstanding in his selection and preparation of entrees . If you’re in the Cooperstown, NY area don’t miss out.

Very quaint and historic. The menu was decent with good drink selection. However, the restaurant closed right around 8 and the bar area shut down around the same time. 10 pm would be better on a weekend but other than that, not bad

Everyone (3 couples) tasted their appetizer soups, fried calamari, salmon and said, “Oh, that’s really good.” For entrees, we got lamp chops, charbroiled salmon, turkey dinner and fish and chips: all thoroughly delicious and enjoyed. Although full, we couldn’t resist 3 different cakes and a baklava for dessert. The menu is sufficiently varied, the portions generous, the prices reasonable and the staff friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is a gem and we will return.

Gorgeous B&B in a small town 20 minutes from Glimmerglass Opera and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Lovely grounds and a very personable owner and staff made our stay a pleasure. Dinner was probably the best in the area, and the included breakfast was hearty and well done. It's not a Hampton or Hilton, which is part of its charm. We were in Room 1, the only room on the ground floor, which made bringing our luggage in easy. It also had direct access to the front porch.

Fantastic historic hotel! Michael is so friendly, charming and accommodating, the food is really outstanding as well. It is in a great location to explore Sharon Springs, and the surrounding area. We will definitely return and we highly recommend this amazing hotel and restaurant!
