Vroman's Nose Hiking Trail
Vroman's Nose is a prominent land mark overlooking the beautiful and fertile Schoharie Valley. The view is spectacular from the flat "dance floor" feature found on the top of this distinctive mountain. The hike is easy, very rewarding and great place for picture taking in every season! There is easy parking with the Trail Head clearly marked just off the parking area.

Ingrid HillThis is a great trail for a part day hike. Its steep but not too much so. Its about 500 ft of elevation and the loop is under two miles. There are 2 beautiful vistas overlooking the farms from atop the mountain. In full summer the corn fields look like a velvet sheet across the earth. Its so beautiful! When you reach the top there are parallel yellow and blue trails...blue is an outer trail that gives you better views but its closed April - July for peregrin falcon nesting. This would be a lovely hike at any time of the year. Trekking poles are nice but not necessary. No bugs, no mud presently. Plan 1-2 hours.

Jamie LeBourveauModerate trail with some steepish climbs. Parts of the trail were closed to protect peregrine falcon nesting sites. Not a big deal, still plenty of good views. My friend and I walked part of the trail twice so we were on the trail for an hour and 20 minutes. The loop can be completed in less time.

Mike ZPerfect short hike to get the through the forest, enjoy the views and loop back. Very well marked trails in good condition making for enjoyable hike. Part of the ridge trail is roped away due to falcon mating season, but two most significant viewpoints are open. Ample gravel parking.

iMacOfDeathAmazing view ahead. An easy trail for anyone with even a moderate amount of hiking experience, but do note that for everyone else, this is will be a bit of a challenge. Especially if you are out of shape. That said, the hike is very serene, the air is very clean, and the eventual view is quite something to behold. Currently one of the trails is closed to preserve some endangered bird habitats, but all the other paths are available for use.
